CASST is a SAWS authorized Class-A institution, competent to offer Work Safety test and inspection as well as occupational health related technical services, which have been certificated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CMA), and China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).

Currently, there are 78 test staffs, of whom 70 are technical personnel, including 36 persons with senior technical titles; it also possesses more than 490 sets of major test and inspection equipments or facilities. Its test and inspection capabilities covers 869 test items among 66 types of tested objects in 6 major fields: mine safety, hazardous chemical safety, major hazard monitoring safety, fire protection facilities of buildings, personal protection equipment as well as occupational hazards, etc.
